    About

When choosing a therapist, it is important to find someone who feels like the “right” fit. Here is a little about me, to help you know how I work and who I am, before you make your first appointment.

I have a background in a wide range of psychological and medical modalities. I began my path in nursing school, where I was an intern in a pediatrician office. From there I chose to pursue an undergraduate degree in nutrition and developmental psychology. Once I completed that degree, I took a few years to travel before going back to college. I then received a Bachelors of Science in Health Psychology from Bastyr University. This degree included integrative health; mind-body medicine, nutrition, traditional Chinese medicine and naturopathic medicine. My graduate degree is a Masters of Counseling with an emphasis in depth psychology from Pacifica Graduate Institute. In this training I became skilled in psychodynamic counseling as well as psychoanalytic traditions. My published masters thesis in on childbirth as a rite of passage.

I am currently practicing as a licensed marriage and family therapist in Oregon.

When I am not with clients, I enjoy spending time with my partner and children, being in the ocean, cooking, martial arts, traveling, reading, gardening, researching and continuing my life long inquiry of learning about the world around me.
